More About Me and My Breeding Philosophy

It is my goal to breed sound and healthy Giant Schnauzers with excellent temperaments for the optimum family companion that may compete in AKC conformation shows as well.

Giant Schnauzers are our only breed, and we keep only a small number of dogs so they can get lots of love and individual attention.

We are members of the national breed club, the Giant Schnauzer Club of America (GSCA), the Minneapolis Kennel Club (MKC), the Lake Minnetonka Kennel Club (LMKC), the Plum Creek Kennel Club of Colorado (PCKC), and the Peak to Peak Working Dog Association (PPWDA).

I care deeply for this breed and only want to produce the best Giants possible. I participate in AKC Conformation shows and work our dogs in various other ways as well. I care about every dog I breed and am always there for the life of the dog.

I breed to the Giant Schnauzer standard set by the national breed club, the GSCA. Dogs used in our breeding program will be x-rayed free of hip dysplasia, Good or Excellent and ChD clear. I feel the health and socialization of the puppies I breed is the most important.

My puppies are home-raised with lots of attention and love in the weeks before they are placed with their new puppy parents. The puppies go to their new home no earlier than 12 weeks. I strongly suggest that you take a puppy kindergarten class very soon after receiving your pup and following up with an obedience class at 6 months of age.

All puppies are certified healthy by my vet before going to their new home. All puppie will be up-to-date on their shots, fully wormed and used to grooming and nail clipping. Their tails will have been docked. Their ears may already be cropped if requested in advance.

Puppies will be registered with AKC and microchipped. All puppies go home with a contract, guidelines and requirements for the proper care, health and safety of the dog.

If for ANY reason, you must part with one of our dogs, at ANY age, I reserve first chance to get the dog back. I do this so that none of my dogs will ever end up in an unsuitable home or animal shelter.
